ICAS Conference and AGM cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic

Brussels, March 25, 2020 – ICAS, the International Council for Advertising Self-Regulation announces with regret that its Conference and Annual General Meeting planned on 4 May 2020 in Marina del Rey, California has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lee Peeler, ICAS President stated: “We take this significant step reluctantly because we were excited about the opportunity to see our members and stakeholders, to hold our meeting in coordination with the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Summit and the opportunity to interact with key decision makers. However, given the growing disruption and uncertainty about travel and personal safety there is no reasonable path forward to May 4th.

ICAS will now focus all its energy to support its members during the crisis and advocate the value of responsible advertising which is more important than ever in these difficult times.”

The ICAS Executive Committee is discussing  options for rescheduling the Conference and AGM. All participants and partners will be informed once a decision has been taken.

ICAS wishes everyone good health, strength and resilience during these unsettling times.
