ICAS and the ICAS Global Think Tank conclude successful annual meetings in Mumbai

From 17 to 20 March, ICAS successfully held its Annual Meetings at the stunning Trident Nariman Point, offering breathtaking views of the vibrant city of Mumbai, India. The meetings were hosted by the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) and marked a milestone in global efforts to promote responsible advertising.

This year’s edition brought together a diverse group of self-regulation experts, regulators, and industry leaders from across the globe to explore the shifting landscape of advertising self-regulation, while addressing pressing challenges and emerging opportunities.

Alongside the ICAS meetings, ASCI hosted an insightful Industry Event“Tomorrow’s Regulations: A Look Into the Future”— at which ICAS spoke, as well as an ASCI Academy session which saw the launch of two new publications. These events further enriched the conversations around ethical advertisingconsumer trust, and the future of self-regulation frameworks – especially in the context of the quickly evolving advertising landscape driven by AI.

One of the standout moments was the ICAS Global Awards Ceremony, which recognized outstanding initiatives in self-regulation, innovation, sustainability, and diversity—showcasing inspiring efforts from around the world.

Another major highlight was the gathering of the ICAS Global Think Tank, which convened to discuss the responsible use of AI in advertising. The session featured expert insights, collaborative discussions, and a forward-looking brainstorming session on ad transparency and AI-generated content.

These days of insightful dialogue, knowledge sharing, and global collaboration reaffirmed ICAS’s commitment to strengthening responsible advertising practices worldwide.
